Background
Semax combines the ACTH(4–7) fragment Met-Glu-His-Phe with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension that slows enzymatic breakdown. Like Selank, it was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Storage and handling
